WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – January 13, 2017 – Accu-Steel Fabric Covered Buildings, a leading manufacturer of fabric-covered buildings, affirms its support of Iowa agriculture through an investment in the Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers (CSIF).
Jason Owen, president of Accu-Steel, said the family-owned business is proud to serve Iowa’s livestock farmers today and into the future. “Iowa’s cattle industry is an important part of the state and local economy. Accu-Steel is committed to helping the industry continue to grow,” said Owen. “Working with the Coalition we can continue to make Iowa’s cattle industry more competitive, which will allow more young people to go back to the family farm.”
Brian Waddingham, executive director of the Coalition, says the Templeton, Iowa-based firm has stepped forward with a $3,000 investment. “We’re extremely grateful for Accu-Steel’s investment in the Coalition and appreciate their continued support of Iowa agriculture,” he says.
Accu-Steel Fabric Covered Buildings are designed to maintain a consistent environment, regardless of wind direction or outside elements which leads to a drier setting with excellent air quality for feeding cattle. “The building can help improve cattle performance and can also help farmers not only meet, but exceed environmental regulations,” said Waddingham. The company also offers other agricultural buildings that are beneficial for improving the quality of feed and bedding for livestock farmers.
The Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers has helped over 3,700 farm families grow responsibly and successfully since its launch in 2004. CSIF assists farmers with rules and regulations, site analysis and neighbor relations. The Accu-Steel investment assures these services remain free and confidential for all Iowa farm families.
The Coalition to Support Iowa’s Farmers was created by farmers to help farmers raise livestock successfully and responsibly. It’s a joint partnership involving the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association, Iowa Corn Growers Association, Iowa Egg Council, Iowa Farm Bureau Federation, Iowa Pork Producers Association, Iowa Soybean Association, Iowa Turkey Federation and Midwest Dairy Association.
The non-profit, non-partisan organization provides assistance to farmers at no cost. CSIF does not lobby or develop policy. Farm families wanting a helping hand can contact the Coalition at 1-800-932-2436 or visit www.supportfarmers.com.
