Join the Coalition, The Big Show, and the Iowa Department of Ag and Land Stewardship from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. as we recognize the latest Good Farm Neighbor Award winners, Jason and Jami Sherer, poultry producers from Harrison County! The award presentation by Iowa Secretary of Agriculture, Mike Naig, will take place during a short program at noon.

Open House: Raising Cattle Under Roof

Robbins Land and Cattle
Farmers interested in learning about the benefits of raising cattle under roof are invited to attend an open house at Robbins Land and Cattle on Friday, March 14. A complimentary lunch will be served at 12:00 p.m. with a short program following. The open house will feature one barn that holds cow-calf pairs, feeder calves, and fat cattle, with a covered manure bay and headlocks. Experts from CSIF will also be available to provide insight into interpreting rules and regulations impacting livestock farms, enhancing relationships with neighbors, and choosing good locations for new barns and feedlots.
